About Us

While many Jai Alai documentaries focus on the sport’s rich history, strikes, gambling, legendary MVPs, etc. Our project shifts the spotlight to modern-day Jai Alai. This isn’t a story about a sport confined to the past. We want to talk about how it’s still relevant and celebrated amongst a vast group of people all over the world.

Our documentary explores the challenges facing Jai Alai in America today and the efforts to ensure its survival. Through exclusive interviews with producers and management, we’re uncovering plans and strategies shaping the sport’s future. This year we plan on delving into the international scene, speaking with key players and enthusiasts from Europe and Mexico, where Jai Alai remains deeply ingrained in their cultures.

This is not a finished story—it’s a journey. Our documentary continues to evolve as we capture the ongoing trials and triumphs of Jai Alai. Together, we’ll discover the next chapter of this incredible sport!

Meet the team

  • Director, Co-Director of Photography

At the helm of this project is our director Luis Jordan Lorenzo IV. Luis’s father and grandfather both played Jai Alai professionally. Luis Lorenzo II played Jai Alai in the 50’s, and then weaved cestas or baskets for years after. Following in his father’s footsteps, Luis Lorenzo III played in the 70s-90s, then went on to weave cestas, referee, and help where he can.

You could say Jai Alai has been apart of Luis's entire life, but instead of throwing on the cesta, he decided to take a different approach on succeeding his father by making this documentary.

  • Producer, Location Sound Mixer

Anthony is producing and sound mixing ¡MUCHO!, bringing his passion for sound to the project. Based in Los Angeles, Anthony has built a career as a location sound mixer for narrative and documentary productions. His standout work, however, has been in the commercial world, where he has sound mixed for brands like Zillow, Amazon, and the California Lottery.

Anthony have produced multiple projects with Luis, such as "Incompliances" 2017. Luis introduced Jai Alai to Anthony back in high school, and he has played it recreationally ever since. Anthony has even been kicked out of multiple LA fitness locations, attempting to play Jai Alai in their racquet ball courts.

  • Director of Photography, Producer

A documentary DP/Editor based out of the pacific northwest, Tim brings a unique perspective to the project while helping craft the story through the lens, and the edit. His company Kerr Creatives, LLC produces documentary, narrative, and commercial projects around the world.

After being introduced to the sport by Luis back in 2018, Tim has grown an appreciation and respect for the culture. His goal is to help bring this story to life, while highlighting the passion found across the sport.
