Luis Lorenzo III
Director, Co-DP
Documentary filmmaker and editor. He has been around the sport his whole life, but was encouraged to follow his passion for filmmaking. Today he plays in amateur tournaments and is enthusiastic to show others how to throw and catch at local racquetball courts.
His grandfather, originally a player and artisan in Havana, left Cuba in the 1950s to make the equipment by hand in Palm Beach, Florida. His father turned pro in the 1970s during the glory days and continued the traditional craft of pelota and cesta making.
